The Government of Uttar Pradesh has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Centre for Effective Governance of Indian States (CEGIS) to strengthen governance systems and data-driven decision-making across the state.
Under the MoU, CEGIS will work with the Finance and Planning Departments over five years on:
- Establishing a Financial Analytics Unit within the Finance Department to improve quality of expenditure and fiscal monitoring
- Strengthening data systems for effective planning and service delivery
- Building systemic and personnel capacity aligned with Mission Karmayogi principles
