Shankar Narayanan works as the Chief of Solutions in the Chennai office. 

Before joining CEGIS, he served as Global Technical Advisor at Chemonics, where he contributed to health systems transformation in 18 countries across Asia and Africa. He also co-founded the Social Enterprise unit at PSI, leading pioneering, market-based approaches to healthcare and sanitation. Shankar's two-decade journey at PSI India—from Program Manager to Managing Director-saw him spearheading transformative programs in health and sanitation, and building the Social Enterprise unit into a flagship platform for development innovation.

Shankar holds a degree in Electronics and Entrepreneurship Management and is a trained facilitator in systems change and innovation. He continues to serve on the Advisory Board of the WASH Institute and other national platforms.
