Sakshi Satija
Economist
Sakshi Satija has joined as an Economist in the Economics and Statistics Unit at CEGIS in Delhi.
Prior to joining CEGIS, she pursued her Ph.D. in Economics at Ashoka University. Her research interests lie at the intersection of Macroeconomic Theory and Policy, Public Finance, Development Economics, and Political Economy. Sakshi has experience with structural modeling, quasi-experimental methods, and large-scale Indian datasets. Her research has explored key issues such as women’s labor market outcomes, electoral cycles, and political representation in the Indian context.
Before her doctoral studies, Sakshi worked as a Research Fellow at the National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP) and as a Research Associate at the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), gaining two years of hands-on research experience.
