Arpan Bag
Program Manager
Arpan Bag is working as a Program Manager in the Project Delivery Team in Odisha. He is a trained social work professional and researcher with interdisciplinary experience across governance, criminal justice, and community development. Prior to joining CEGIS, he served as a Research Officer at the Centre for Good Governance, Odisha, where he led evidence-based policy studies, large-scale training initiatives, and documentation of transformative government programmes. He has also worked with the Centre on Death Penalty at National Law University, Delhi, and with organisations focused on legal aid, police reform, and social impact research.
Arpan holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Visva-Bharati and an M.A. in Social Work with a specialization in Criminology and Justice, along with an M.Phil. in Social Work from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. His extensive field experience includes grassroots engagement in health, education, mental health, and criminal justice interventions. He has authored and co-authored academic publications on policing, stress, and social work practice. His professional interests include governance reform, justice systems, climate-resilient development, and institutional capacity building.
