MANDAL PLANNING STATISTICAL OFFICERS IN TELANGANA

CEGIS conducted extensive mapping and competency-based assessments for 66 Mandal Planning Statistical Officers (MSPOs) in Telangana, a pioneering effort to measure, manage and improve government officials' performance. The assessment covered eight identified competencies across domain, functional and behavioural areas. Developed with assessment partners, the instruments were refined through external validation checks. Based on the assessment results, CEGIS collaborated with the state training institute, MCRHRDI, to design a comprehensive three-day intensive course for MPSOs. The Planning Department is now exploring scaling up the assessments and related training  to include more departmental officials, enhancing overall state capacity and performance.
