Sania Javed
Sania is a Program Associate in the Strategic Public Finance vertical at the Centre for Effective Governance of Indian States (CEGIS). She holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from the University of Delhi, Jesus and Mary College. Prior to her role at CEGIS, Sania worked as a Fellow with Civic Data Lab's Public Finance team, where she actively participated in projects involving Green Public Procurement recommendations in Assam and analysis for Odisha's Child Budgeting Practices. She also gained practical experience during an internship with the Programme Management Consultancy – Finovista, focusing on sustainable financing and practices. Additionally, she’s also worked on multiple research projects, both individually and with faculty at the University of Delhi. Within the sector and discipline, Sania is interested in contemporary dialogues related to identity, development, financial inclusion, inequality and gender. Outside of work, Sania loves to watch films, sing and keep her very basic guitar skills in check.
