IMPROVING EDUCATIONAL OUTCOMES BY DRIVING DATA USE

CEGIS works with the Education Department in Tamil Nadu to enhance the use of high-quality data for decision-making. This includes the development of intuitively useful dashboards that ensure better acceptance and utilisation by the stakeholders. This effort is aimed at improving educational outcomes by driving the effective use of data and more robust supportive supervision models.

In Telangana, CEGIS supports the Education Department in implementing Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK), an institutional framework for data-driven decision-making. As a knowledge and quality control partner, CEGIS designs intuitive dashboards, facilitates IT vendor selection, digitises data entry processes and establishes a centralised call centre for data-monitoring. The initiative includes automating essential registers, benefiting over 30 state officials, 165 district officials and 600 Mandal officials. By empowering over 1.24 lakh school Headmasters and Teachers to make data-driven decisions, this project improves educational outcomes across the state, promoting effective use of data in academic and non-academic modules.
